What r some good 5-20 min arcadey styled games that I could play on windows 10 with little effort. I’d prefer stuff generally with less vampire Survivors/ progression stuff.

Literal arcade games like Pac-Man are of course great too. I just don’t wanna fuck around with mame tbh.

Metal Slug 2/X (run’n’gun)
Assault Android Cactus (twin-stick shooter)
Hyper Demon (FPS)
Savant - Ascent Remix (single-screen action)
Ex-Zodiac (Starfox-like)
Demon’s Tilt (pinball)

Consider also UFO 50, even though not all of the games in it are arcadey. It feels a bit like wandering around a real-life arcade: you can check out various games with low switching friction and maybe find yourself committing to one you like. I recommend Magic Garden (action puzzler) to start

from part quartre:

Zero, yes.
Also after you have played Zero, you can treat yourself to 5, iirc it was a pack-in to the PS4 release of 7 and can be DLC’ed or so?

Quick Question Jigoku V

:tarothink:

everyone loves a gradually expanding map like Elden Ring, but are there any games with a large world that go “breadth-first”, start with fast travel to a wide span of locations and gradually fill in the details?

a near-example would be Guild Wars 2 with its five starting zones spread across the map, but i think you’re still confined to one of them depending on what character you roll

Morrowind

Anyone know whether, in Shiren of Serpentcoil Isle, the last boss of the main dungeon can be transformed into a peach bun if hit with a peach bun staff?

So odd question but is there any way to play the original Gears of War on PC, or is the remaster the only way to do so nowadays?

Xenia?

Does Bionic Commando Wife Arm have any standout set-pieces or is the whole game swinging and punching a guy sometimes?

I remember thinking it was weirdly underrated at the time (the physics are very funny, it was peak ragdoll era so every character moves like a sack of potatoes) and it does have some decently expressive combat but I have no idea how it’s aged
