I bought the Ukraine TTRPG bundle for Ultraviolet Grasslands, and I also downloaded Dungeoneering from it. I am excited to dive into those.
The Trans Rights bundle has Agon by John Harper — he’s the Blades in the Dark dude. There’s also Wanderhome which looks amazing and I’ve heard of, but never played.
Now I’m realizing that indie TTRPGs are a perfect fit for charity bundles. Um… yeaah
Agon is really cool! I haven’t played Wanderhome but its on my list for eventually. I also like Noirlandia and A Dirty World in the trans rights bundle.
So the dev behind Syzygy has decided to make it free because it was never discovered and he’d rather people see it than make money on it.
I feel bad for the guy as I’ve had the game on my wishlist for a bit and while I assume it got some visibility from being a Humble original the previous $20 asking price was likely a death sentence. Why I remember the game is because it had a decent little puzzle conceit in that in order to solve its mostly traversal puzzles is to change the world itself between being square, triangle, and hexagon-based.
Not sure if it added up to something to build an entire game around but it looks really neat! I figure the least I can do is offer up the slight amount of visibility I can offer.
It’s also available on itch as PWYW, if you, like me, you had this on your wishlist and feel kinda bad about the turn of events here and would like to throw the dev a few bucks.
just cause 3 and nier automata are 2 of my favourite open world games from last generation for totally opposite reasons
dragon quest xi is probably the best jrpg since mother 3 in most ways that matter and ffxv’s first ten or so hours (the rest doesn’t really matter) are a pretty neat curio compared to the prior decade of mainline entries (imo)
all the original looking glass titles are extremely worthwhile
I looked up and down the square sale until I remembered I have the Cold Steel series ahead of me, as I’m playing 1 now and that will take me… two years to get through, maybe? JRPGs take too damn long.
i try not to post these Fantatical Bundles a lot since they happen often and tend to be kind of interchangeable. but this one has a surprisingly really good selection and is very cheap:
def recommend Detention, also Don’t Feed The Monkeys and Smile For Me are def worthwhile. those Ittle Dew games i’ve been meaning to check out. i’ve heard people say positive things about Clustertruck before. anyway, just putting up for the sake of anyone who might wanna grab a handful of things very cheap since there’s are several games that feel good and not just filler titles this time around.
