yeah i can see this playing into the culture of ween, or ‘deep fried’ kind of stuff, but i was being pretty genuine haha, i think theres a good amount of this ‘background radiation’ feeling to the tracks, or just early bss production getting amplified by the compression. it does make me wonder if there are folks who do this kind of thing in the same way one might use a crt filter on an emulator lol
