i’m not sure how TeddyLoid managed to make overcompression and piercing EQing, which sound amateurish and awful from any other producer, instead come across extremely earnest and addictive
looked up the original version of Black Eyed Pea’s “Lets get it started”
One of the lyrics is “Bop your head like epileptic”
how did that band get so big??? was the label like “wow we can sell so many cellphones with this song”

It’s crazy but for most of human history including 20 years ago it was not considered gauche to refer to a medical minority in an insulting or insensitive manner
