i would be down for this but i cant play on tuesdays, wednesdays or thursdays! i didnt like wolf 2’s narrative a lot but a sequel where they didnt have to write themselves out of a corner seems fun
getting increasingly apprehensive that I think I’d rather leave these characters where they were
I loved wolf 2 a lot and I don’t think set would still be alive in the 80s 
Waiting to find out whether this game dropped the radical edge of its predecessors and went full #resistance before I decide whether to purchase it.

i think its a pointless argument because if you came to this series looking for that you were always gonna be disappointed, its a fucking AAA game so of course they werent going to go full maoist or whatever, people saw the nazi killing game and desperately read into it in the hopes it could be something it never can be. theyre fun games but having that kind of expectation for them is honestly a waste of time. i think talking about shit like the way these games handle trauma is way more interesting than talking about whatever political aspirations they may have anyway

totally agree though I do think it has strenuously fun and decent politics; expecting a commercial videogame to incite people to violence is both ridiculous and frankly very bad, but it doesn’t mean that BJ delivering lines like “OK, you white assholes, come at me” is for nothing because that shit rules

I love co-op shooters and I was lukewarm on the previous three games so I am hoping for some good level design honestly.

yeah and the stuff they do with J in the first game/Grace in the second game telling BJ “america was always like this dude, its just worse now” is about as far as they can really go with it before theyd start to lose people anyway…the games have just been saddled with these expectations because games are the center of a culture war and the american crypto-fascists are crawling out of the wood work, i think a lot of people expect some kind of revelations from the nazi-killer games but all theyre really getting is catharsis, which is why i think people cut wolf 2 a lot of slack it doesnt necessarily deserve in other aspects
that being said if wolfenstein actually advocated protracted peoples war and people started killing cops because of it, it would be a much better series

Reports from E3 indicated the enemies were a bit bullet spongey because they’re making it a co-op experience first and trying to ape Destiny a bit and that gave me pause to wait and see how it turns out. Also Dragon Quest Builders 2 is a whole lot longer than the first game.
The trailers are really good though.

im going to make call of duty but maoist where you participate in three gun matches inside police stations and shit. all the cops wear their klan hoods off duty and you get bonus points for headshots
yeah I sure do love how a militarized state with virtually unlimited resources behaves toward marginalized people when it feels threatened by popular art, that would just be the best
its not like anything fucking stops them from committing atrocities against us daily as it is, the government operates fucking concentration camps and the question lots of people are asking is “why dont the people in the death camps have good beds?!” americans are already complacent so i doubt a subversive videogame that upsets Black People Hunters Local 731 is going to really empower the enforcement arm of capital any further. i was mostly being facetious anyway because gamers wouldnt go out and kill cops because of a videogame, gamers love cops

I am really enjoying Wolf2 on the level of mechanics and level design I dunno what the problem is.
Maybe I’m just so thirsty for a decent single player FPS I don’t know what’s good any more.
