Hi y’all. I barely used my Switch. So less so, that I put it in the closet two years ago and then just played Wii U with my kid. I have recently pulled it out and realized there were a few games I had wanted to get on it, then I forgot what they were. The last major thing is I bought Tears of the Kingdom, and played through Metroid Dread. I 90% of modern games play on PS5. What have I missed on Switch? Here’s the short list I have now:
I never really played the Bayonetta Baby game, maybe it’s ok
There was some Doraemon management sim that was on a bunch of famitsu dev favs list years ago. I never played that either. But I have it. If you know what I mean.
Seconding gotta protectors, the switch one is the best.
This game is on steam too but it feels like a switch game. Maybe it’s the price tag. But it’s wonderful. I’ve never played any of those other full-price switch-era adventure game revivals like famicom detective club, but this is almost certainly the best one. Yuji horii added a significantly long framing story/epilogue for this remake which, i’m not gonna spoil it but it has this additional gameplay aspect that is interesting, especially if you know stuff about his career.
I posted this game when it came out and I ended up buying it. I did not regret it at all for 3.99. (Not so sure how I feel about their other game masala drive, sorry @grandpa)
i got my switch about half a year ago, and have been overwhelmed with how much stuff there is on there that i want to play. my wishlist has well over a hundred items
here’s what i actually have bought so far (mostly in sales, for almost nothing)
I really liked Mario Odyssey, but it seems like it’s not very popular by most gamers.
Xenoblade 2 was fun but I had to skip the cutscenes. The game’s story and tone were not for me, but I loved the battle system dearly. Toppling enemies with combos that do colossal damage was like crack.
Ring Fit was a great covid game when gyms were closed.
Baba is You is a good puzzle game that’s also on other platforms, but I played it on Switch.
