The stodgy action of Castlevania 1 kind of fits the Gothic romance theme.
Ditto castlevania judgement
Wow this just surfaced a memory for me, the local diner near where I grew up had a picture of a fish in a sweater positioned just like that fish, except it was of a real fish in I assume a tank. As a kid I always bugged my parents to ask if there was any way we could ask them if we could have the picture because I loved it the way a kid loves things they find neat.
i played the remake of Ib for the first time at the end of last year and even though the game only took me like 3 hours, i keep thinking about how it has so many more ideas than the vast majority of commercial games do now and it’s done with like such limited means. it’s slightly absurd and it def radicalized me back again to my circa 2013 stance on indie games. there’s so much that games are expected to do that’s just obligatory but doesn’t add much of anything. games like Ib make that really clearer to me.
reminds me of how a while back I told a friend that the two things I was sick of doing in videogames were levelling up and collecting shit, and especially combining the two chores. I should probably play Ib sooner than later.
honestly i just think having a Large Plush Toy Tonberry would just be a constant source of delight in my life
same SAME SAME SAME SAME
the flesh should be a rubber though
pinchable pokable rubber
The knife should be real and extremely sharp
i got a cactuar plushie years ago and life has been better since
My quality of life would be lessened if I didn’t have my Cubed Chocobo plushie.
how about you @hellojed, how’s your life improved by having an official square-enix white mage chocobo
they sit next to my tails plush and among my collection of tapes and watch over the dirtiest part of the room. every time i see it im like “i gotta take care of this guy”
