it changed hands/was restarted from scratch twice and the latest guy has hacked the title screen and nothing else, wouldn’t hold yr breath unfortunately
I think something like this is really gonna live or die by the texture of the English prose, which I remember the surprise official English mobile port of their other SFC visual novel being not so good…I didn’t really give it a chance tho

4 player split screen in a 3d racing game on the saturn!
Prequel game to Mega Man Legends 2 that I didn’t even know existed has been translated with the patch also adding access to dev rooms and scrapped content:
Did you know the recently released assault suit leynos 2 saturn tribute on steam/xbox has an english translation that would appear to be hacked in given that the text boxes are transparent?

we need to play this at the meetup!!!

this tool is really useful to automate JP->EN machine translations via OCR for dynamic on-screen text
i suspected something like this existed but wasn’t sure where to find it until today
Ooh, I’d like to take this for a test drive. I have experience using the retroarch thing, but I kept feeling like it was just on the cusp of being useful. Some games took to it well while others spat out nothing but junk.
i feel like retroarch is always going to be at the mercy of stuff like kanji rendered in small fonts at e.g. 240p, which really hurts the ability of the OCR functionality
the nice thing about this tool is it will work with any Japanese text on your screen, so you can use it for e.g. translating stuff like the annotations in this speedrun:
