well @Felix might be happy to know that this version uses the psp localization’s alexander o smith script rather than the psx version’s translation, making it maybe the best version of the game to play in english if you agree with his views on subsequent changes to balance and design (i also think it looks better)
besides what @MintyJuffowup mentioned it also has 37% increased battlefield view, full names for items and spells and better performance than psx, which is nice. also it’s on the saturn!
actually that is encouraging… unlike FFT whose original English script I loved so much in spite of poor editing that I spent years tightening it up myself (which everyone here should still play btw!!!), I have much less fondness for the original tactics ogre localization, and a much higher opinion of the rewrite.
mouse injection support for specific games in various emulators
some highlights from the list of currently supported games:
Echo Night (PS1)
King’s Field (PS1)
King’s Field II (PS1)
Resident Evil: Survivor (PS1)
TimeSplitters 2 (GCN)
TimeSplitters: Future Perfect (GCN)
Metal Arms: Glitch in the System (GCN)
Pac-Man 2: The New Adventures (SNES)
Sin & Punishment (N64)
Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction (PS2)
playing kings field with a mouse makes me really mad (you have to rebalance so much of the game now!!!) but it’s AWESOME how much stuff this works with. There’s soo many fps games on ps1 or whatever that would be way more decent with m+kb. Now people can finally play the Ghost in the Shell game on PSP that’s an FPS because you don’t have to play it with PSP controls anymore!!
