Hey I found a stack of 100 or so Magic Cards from around 1997-98. Some are a bit older I think. What does a person do with something like this these days? Is it worth it to try to look through them and sell them individually, or should I just take the whole stack to a game shop and let them deal with it?

Depends how much effort you want to put into it, really. Cards that old tend to be either completely worthless or worth a ton (usually because they are staples in Legacy, Vintage, or Commander and are in short supply), so if you have the time to look them up individually yourself, I would do that and then make a decision based on that information.
