I had a great time with my 64 researching 3d platformers last year. It doesn’t have the biggest or best library, but the stuff that’s good on it is really good. And a lot of the less good stuff is interesting at the very least.
the N64 is a neat console with some fun stuff but the number of American kids who owned one in favour of a playstation because their parents were dedicated Nintendo consumers is just silly, like in historical terms it was almost certainly the most lopsided console generation in terms of where the most interesting work was being done
the n64 owns and y’all are trippin’
The last game I ever rented from a Blockbuster was Blast Corps. Unlike the SNES RPGs I was accustomed to, Blast Corps only maintained a single profile on which all progress was automatically saved, and I couldn’t figure out how to erase the progress that was already on the cartridge, so all I could do was try the same two missions I didn’t yet have the skills to complete over and over and over again.
yeah it needed a controller pak to have multiple saves
mom may I have N64?
for 3D platformers?
yesssssss… 3D platformers…
you are a bad person
nevermind, you are the best person
A Bug’s Life: my first ever N64 game (other than Mario of course) and I always hated it even as a kid, and I want to replay it out of curiosity. This was a joke and I know it will never happen because Disney
Wetrix is genuinely cool though. Where’s Wetrix 2
does a quick google search
Where’s Wetrix 3
I’m the N64 fan here and even I’ll admit that the library is kind of lacking in the era of emulation
BUT
if you’re not a big nerd like me, I think the Mini N64 will be a huge hit. Like, think about the amount of people who have not played Mario 64 and Star Fox 64 and Goldeneye (wait, hm) or Banjo Kazooie (ah uh geeze) or Diddy Kong Racing (ah, shit) or Conker’s Bad Fur Day (faafjiof4) in 20+ years and how happy they’re gonna be.
All of those great, great games that can definitely be released by Nintendo. Those great, amazing games that Nintendo can certainly release due to having all the rights and everything lined up perfectly, yep.
at least put sin & punishment on switch
If one of those bootleg console companies made a nice unit that could play N64 carts or something like that I might actually pick one up.
a Sin & Punishment bundle would kill me
Pirate Consoles will be there in a year it looks like.
how bout Sin and Punishment 3 for Switch
frothin’ for yakuza 7 the more i see it
