Hello! I have finally gotten my Animal Crossing affairs in order and everyone is cordially invited to come visit EcoZone! My friend code is 0490 - 9086 - 7084. Be warned - I don’t keep up with this game as much as it wants me to!

Mine’s 0963-4183-2807 BTW

Sorry to resurrect lol plz don’t ban me.

Seriously though those 3ds announcements are baffling to me because the 3ds is d-e-a-d in Japan. The Vita is quite healthy though! Like the kids are still all over pokemon but that is what the 3ds is a pokemon machine. The 3ds section at any given electronics/game store is easily the smallest section and only getting smaller. I checked the upcoming 3ds games you could preorder and the Nintendo Direct just doubles them from 3 to 6.

The Vita has like 12.

The 3DS the system kids age 5-9 play pokemon on.

I guess I am forgetting Snack World now has amiibos but I don’t even know what you play Snack World On.

the original ds still gets disney games i think, and the wii still gets a let’s dance update every year (that apparently sells more than the wii u versions).

nintendo just don’t allow consoles to die anymore i guess

I forgot that Metroid game came out abd everyone made a fuss over. But that must have been six months ago now.

Man I think I’ve got like $16 on my e-shop account but there’s no 3DS stuff I want anymore

It is strange that this system has lasted so long despite the fact that the kiddos seem to prefer ipads and there are no consensus classic games.

yeah the 3DS has been puzzling to me for most of its lifespan (remember that it originally sold so poorly that they had to cut the price by like 40% after nine months). If nothing else it’s the place where EAD started to make consistently fun and robust and interesting games for the first time in a decade or so. but now that Citra pretty much works at fullspeed there’s not a lot there I care about…

I owned one briefly for 3DL and Crimson Shroud, both of which I thought were OK, and haven’t been that taken with Awakening or Zelda

We/I should work on the 3ds wiki page.

Glad to hear someone else that didn’t love LbtW. That opening fucking sucks. It is the exact opposite of the LttP opening. And after that I don’t remember anything??

It’s got a lot of Phoenix Wright on it!

unless it’s the Wii U which is so dead

I bought LbtW. I have not cracked it open once to play it.

Similarly I’ve got a collector’s edition of SMT IV sitting its plastic which isn’t typical of my games.

The best game on the system is Style Savvy

i hacked mine, played five mins of the dragon quest rhythm game and 3d streets of rage 2 then never touched it again

the region lock + 18 month wait for an eu release of smt4 was a great throwback to classic nintendo systems

I still fire up Space Harrier on mine regularly.

And I regret not playing Kid Icarus deathmatch more than I did. I wonder if I’d be able to find a game this weekend?

Link Between Worlds rules and I appreciated the way it played with Zelda pacing by having all the equipment available early. It looks like Link to the Past but it’s its own thing and should be judged as such.

I dusted off my 3ds to go back to Dragon Quest VII after playing Builders. I just got Ruff, the fourth party member, and and returned his voice! I guess it is basically a Dragon Quest machine now. I bought it for 3DLand and Link Between Worlds (which I both enjoyed though I haven’t finished LBW or the second loop/hardtype stages for 3DLand) and I have some eshop stuff like Cave Story and GameBoy Tetris.

Other than that my 3ds is criminally underused. Right now though I’m redeeming points on the My Nintendo website because I haven’t done that (or anything to do with managing an active Nintendo account for that matter) and because I want to try that new Metroid 2 remake (even though the fan remakes are better).

I did not watch the Nintendo Direct so I did not know that there is a new WarioWare coming plus remakes of the original Luigi’s Mansion and the Mario and Luigi Bowser games.

Definitely looking forward to WarioWare.

i just dumped a couple of games from my 3ds and tried this, very impressive

The threeds is 7.5 yeas old.

(yikes that co-op framerate)

(this one might be cancelled at this point maybe? From some devs who worked on Conker’s Bad Fur Day)

Just 6 exclusives left and 3 multiplats that were probably announced a little too early for their own good.
Keep on trucking, little guy.
