Can’t seem to view my message list or any user profiles at the moment. Tried a couple different browsers and it just looks like this:
While I’m at it, here’s a very minor thing that’s been an issue as long as I can remember but of course doesn’t really matter: the column headers in the Latest/New/Unread views are one column off.

i rebuilt the app to make sure we didn’t have anything break through the upgrade process itself but I’m not sure what’s happening with these errors. any ideas?

Uh oh. I can’t dive deep on this right now but I did notice that my User Preferences page also won’t load for me. Which is a pain because I was going to try switching my display theme around to see whether other themes may or may not show this issue.
Getting a bug on the app where clicking on a thread takes me to last unread bookmark but then bumps me back like 15 posts on full load.
we need to probably scrap some frontend customizations and redo them from stock upstream, unfortunately
which won’t be too difficult, it’s just a matter of whose patience we’re prevailing on

This also sounds like a possible fucked up config somewhere, as well

update went through all green in two stages, one for docker and one for discourse + plugins
can always use the preview function under customize in the admin panel

Thanks, this was helpful! I went in and previewed my inactive, almost completely uncustomized theme with no custom components or custom css, “OSBtest”. I still saw these same issues there… So that seems to rule out custom components and css as the causes at least.

i think the message bus 429 is intended behavior when a client tries to pull unsuccessfully repeatedly
i can see the user page and preferences under safe mode (https://selectbutton.net/safe-mode) so i guess we just need to isolate which customization or plug-in is breaking. i can start by commenting out animated avatars?
I doubt it’s a customization issue.
I think the problem is that it’s trying to load shit it needs that either isn’t there or is there but it doesn’t realize it. If you look at my screenshot again, you have six 404s. That might be an issue.
I am getting an error from the animated avatars plugin. I would recommend disabling that first and seeing if it fixes anything.
so with safe mode you can toggle three things independently, the second option fixes user pages
i’ll comment out the animated avatars next and rebuild, should be about 5-10 minutes of downtime
