if it works in incognito i bet it’s a chrome extension (disabled in incognito). try turning them all off and then back on one-by-one to diagnose

ayyy, good shit, it works now. I just turned off a few, too lazy to figure out which one was the culprit. I’m going to blame felix, because one of them was some sci-hub extension he linked a while back

I noticed the sha it wanted is the same as the one in the list of urls only with different capitalization (which is meaningful to sha comparisons) so I’m wondering if this is maybe something really stupid like somewhere in a browser update or some kind of content filtering extension someone accidentally added something that mutably toLowered the list

i can look into what that entails. on its face it’s a better situation than twitter’s because it’ll still be oembed

This also happens to me sometimes on Safari on an iPhone. When trying to open SB, it’ll sometimes just sit on the loading wheel forever. I have no idea why, started happening a few months ago. I think I posted about it in this thread at the time. Since then, I’ve found that force-closing Safari and then re-opening it causes the site to load properly.

i haven’t run into this so i can’t reproduce but i can set up a safari emulator at some point
which iphone model do you have?
i may flip the emoji customization off to see if that’s the culprit

It may have been the emoji customization, I do think this issue started occurring around when that was done.
I have an iPhone 12 Mini running iOS 16.1.1.
