The Official "Is Something Broken?" Thread

SB has been acting really weird on my ipad, if I open a thread with new posts it’ll go to the spot that I last had open on this device rather than the newest post, despite the URL having the right post number in it. I’ve tried clearing my cookies and switching back and forth between desktop and mobile views but the issue persists. Anyone else encountering anything like that? Any suggestions?

I just realized that this bug was also impacting the topic listings on the forum homepage, and I never fixed that. Obviously, this is less of a significant issue, but I’m going to see if I can fix it nonetheless.

Uh, the more I look into this, I’m starting to wonder whether the desktop-view homepage ever had color-coded topic titles in the first place. Does anyone remember whether the desktop-view homepage ever listed thread titles in a different color based on whether you’ve read the whole thread or not? Right now it does on mobile, but doesn’t on desktop and it doesn’t look like any of our customizations are at fault.

Just the homepage?

The base landing page has never rendered a read status differently, as far as I can tell:

It’s rendering them at the moment in the subforum pages (Vivaldi 5.0.2497.38, Win 10):

And for the topic footer:

The “categories” page shows light grey for read topics on meta.discourse.org

I don’t know whether we’ve ever had a customization in place for our categories page, though

has anyone else here ever had post/topic drafts apparently disappear/get deleted unintentionally

I’m pretty sure in my case(s) it’s my fault somehow, just making sure it hasn’t happened to anyone else

all set

Is there anything I can do on Chrome to increase the padding between two paragraphs? Sometime last year there was an update to something which reduced the spacing after a linebreak or between text and anything embedded. I really hate the way it makes posts look :////

It’s a reference to Pavement Pavement - Gold Soundz (Official Video) - YouTube

The wrong-post-on-ipad thing is really annoying me since it’s like my main computer now. I can’t find anything in the main discourse forums about it but I wasn’t expecting much. Any chance we could bump up the latest and see if that fixes it?

Some weird pixel quilting of people’s avatars on my laptop today. Refreshing the page make
them go away. Not something I mind but wanted to share. I fist noticed it with @daphaknee but thought it was intentional so I didn’t snag a pic of it before it went away.

hey CSS team (@villain, @toups, @OneSecondBefore), looks like one of our overrides is broken, when you click on a replied-to post link and scroll down from above it drags the big user icon over the post
