I’d actually be surprised if Hokuto ga Gotoku didn’t get localized or at least an english version for the south asain market. Seems kind of expensive to make and not bring out to other markets. HnK is always a pretty warm property with the wider anime market.

never played the first one because it wasn’t my thing aesthetically and it felt like a pretty standard sonic fangame but I love the zooming here and the extent to which they’ve really nailed the megadrive aesthetic, it’s like a different side of – and a less reigned-in – gunstar super heroes
