After setting up xpadder, this works surprisingly well. Haven’t tested the multiplayer yet, but I imagine it works just as well

I can’t read the whole article. But I wonder to what extent this is. Because I have been hearing very recently, that this is still an issue.

And it’s not just the rent. It’s money in all directions. State, county, city, federal, they all take their own piece.

There are some interesting pockets happening here and there. Poulsbo WA has adjusted all of that stuff to allow artists and artisan products to have businesses which can persist. I mean, we are talking like 3 blocks of store fronts in a small community. But hey, it’s kinda cool.

I wish Firaxis would buy the Jagged Alliance license and give it a proper reboot. This is tonally off (and obnoxious) and based on Cliffhanger’s other games I don’t have a lot of faith in it playing well, either.

It’s been years since I’ve played JA but I really enjoyed the macro/micro aspects of it, and I think the combat could be refreshed in a really exciting way if it took the appropriate cues from recent isometric RPGs and stealth games.

Oh well!

Problem with Firaxis is that they have such a board-game design philosophy on everything, and just like they stripped out the simulationism from X-COM, they’d do that do Jagged Alliance 2 as well.

But I guess it’d be better than whatever abomination Rage! is.

It was supposed to come out the week after the Tohoku Earthquake. Because IREM’s timing was impeccable.
