From a TV nerd standpoint I find it fascinating that both Legends and Flash suddenly traded in the opening monologue for having actual intro sequences especially this many seasons into a show.

I really like both of the new intros. The Legends one in particular seems to fit the tone of the show better
Katy Keene has the light, breezy, out of touch, fairytale feel of a Hallmark movie except that gay people are allowed to exist. It’s the closest of the three Archie shows to feeling like an actual Archie comic in that it basically seems like a suburban child’s fantasy of what it’s like to be older. It’s weird that it’s also half of a Josie show with the Cabot twins and Pepper and I guess Alan M is showing up later. It’s interesting that because so much of it takes place in the fashion world they have to say a lot more real brands instead of the usual Archie fakery even though they still have “Lacy’s” and “Molly’s Crisis”. I might watch it if I hear that Alexandra Cabot is doing some real messy stuff or if the Pussycats come back.

I still find it funny that my mother watched this show for like 2 seasons never having any inkling that it was based on comic book superheroes. Kinda wish she stuck with it to see her reaction to it going full caped space ghost wizard crusaders or whatever

I can’t think of too many shows, outside of late '80’s through '90’s Star Trek, that have given directing opportunities to their main actors as much as the arrowverse.
Caity Lotz’s Legends ep last night was extremely fuck yeah.
I believe both Danielle Panabaker and David Ramsey also directed episodes of their respective shows?
there’s an upcoming episode of legends of tomorrow where they go to the set of supernatural and steal the car from supernatural which is kind of extra goofy because for this conceit, for once, they have to pretend like british columbia is british columbia

I had kinda hoped that one of the alternate earths shown during crisis would have Sam and Dean riding along in baby, seeing the sky turn red, and have Dean growl something like, “fantastic, NOW WHAT?!”
Also, I bought the first season of doom patrol because of the good things people here said about it and the fact that it was only the price of two tallboys.
I like it.

I’m only two episodes in but this show miiiiiight be a tad sad for my delicate sensibilities these days

Love love love this season of Doom Patrol. About halfway through.
I’d say Ep 3, Pain Patrol, was an off-putting misstep. Ep 4, Sex Patrol, was so good I’m expecting it to be the season highlight.

Okay, just finished season 2. It ends on a fucker of a cliffhanger.
The season was originally intended to have 10 episodes, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, production was shut down before the 10th episode could be completed and the season instead comprised nine episodes.[27]
Literally does not have a final episode, due to covid.
Overall, I loved this season a lot. Doom Patrol, more than any other series like it, gives the entire cast room to breathe, explore their problems, enjoy time with each other, and just talk. There are episodes where they’ll go to the moon just to sit next to someone and talk it out. I love that.
Some as before, this show is about healing, and this is such a big-hearted group of weirdos to center such a thing on.
I’d say probably only Cyborg’s stuff continues to fall flat. He has a lot of good moments, just, his arc this season was as underwhelming as before. Cliff also bounces around a bit.
Crazy Jane, Caulder, Rita, Dorothy, and especially Larry were top-notch. Can not get enough of these people.

i said it before but i have never watched a marvel movie with these people in it but being in a tv show, metafiction, reality warping, being dead, these are all my favorite genres so sure

The recent Vision comic mini-series was surprisingly rather good while exploring a similar thematic vein so I am hopeful this manages to pull that off as well.
I mean hopeful is strong, I don’t have Disney+ and likely won’t be getting it so it’s not like I’ll ever actually see it. It’d be nice if it was good though!
I’d like to believe that they realized how terrible that accent was and just did the right thing
