Poker Night 2 when it ran on the iphone was a game my wife and i would play together when we’d be having drinks in our neighborhood bar, just talkin each other up about betting on hands and how annoying Claptrap was
i’d love another casual poker game like this. Nintendo should’ve updated Club House games for Switch 2 to have all the enemy characters from Mario Kart playing texas hold em with you.

Finally got my hands on one, bought it in South Korea for ₩606,000 tax free. Had to get a converter for the power adapter, but otherwise completely usable in Japan.
Don’t have any actual Switch 2 games yet, but the Switch 2 editions of Zelda are great.

Different Zelda games, but isn’t there a thing where, because the games run at a higher resolution on Switch 2, the tilt shift dynamic is heavily reduced in Link’s Awakening and Echoes of Wisdom?
That would bum me out…I mean higher frame rates and faster loading times would soften the blow, but they won’t soften that vignette…

Yeah, it looks awesome. Seems like they let Sakurai do what he does best. I appreciate the big focus on City Trial, which was always the best part of that game. I’m surprised he didn’t mention the achievement/unlock system of the original, which felt really innovative at the time. It’s still kind of cool even today, the way achievements were plotted on a graph paper kind of layout and you could reveal them through adjacency. I’ll bet there’s something like that in the new one.

I think I appreciate the concessions to accessibility and the racetrack design is meaningfully different enough in terms of spectacle from Mario Kart. I just felt really old and tired watching the City Mode. So much crap flying around at high speed. I felt it really hard to register melee combat.

Is Hori / any third party planning on making some comfortable joycons a la Split Pad Pro for the Switch 2 yet?

It’s possible that your Switch 2 is not outputting 4K to your TV and you haven’t noticed.
Go to System Settings > Display > Dock Output Information
Here it will show the output resolution. If it’s not 4K, Here are some possible troubleshooting steps:
- It’s possible that your TV only has one HDMI port that actually supports 4K. On my TV it was HDMI 3.
- You may also have to enable Ultra High Speed on that port in your TV’s settings.
- If you have any kind of HDMI switcher in the path of your Switch 2, it may not support Ultra High Speed.
I hope this helps some people realize they aren’t using 4K and fix it!
