I played Bananza on the Switch 2 display while buying stationary and teaching stuff
They had the pad controller.
The joysticks are TOUGH and STUBBORN and they WONT BUDGE and the dead zone is alot.

You mean cheetos chopsticks? Those are a good idea, they work. I’ll also use a spoon for coated nuts, and a fork for store-bought sushi.

They are mining for golden bananas, you know. And gold. Maybe to buy more regular bananas with. Still not sure how the bananaconomy works. Gold is kinda useless and there’s two other currencies to buy stuff with. But it is used to pay for construction work road-blocks and “houses” that refill your health. Which is kind of useless too, except that it triggers Pauline monologues. Appreciated for character building by me but my co-op partner couldn’t care less that she worries about falling from great heights because the “houses” only have two walls. And are carved out of mountain with a cliff-side view. Scenic but potentially deadly.
Co-op might have been an afterthought but I wish Pauline had her own branch of upgrades on the skill tree. Maybe she could’ve started out less powerful, because it feels very powerful to spam her ranged attack. Wow! Yeah! Aha! Ha! Bam! Go!
This world is mysterious. There appears to be blue skys and sunshine inside the earth. But there’s also one layer where you can see the light being generated by artificial lights hanging from the sky. I mean ceiling. Probably an issue most travel to the center of the earth fiction has to address or ignore in some way.

Also got Mario Party Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV.
I love video game board games but this is the first time I got one of these. Good opportunity to use the joycons as mouse.
A little disappointed they didn’t include some kind of quiz show. I wanna play a Jeopardy or Family Feud set in the mushroom kingdom.

Loosely related, I wish there were more card game with video game characters hanging out like in Poker Night at the Inventory.
I never played Poker Night but I did put like a thousand hours into the card game in Persona 5 Royal and that’s all I could think about (also P5 sucks and the card game is way better)
