I’m enjoying my time with Mario Kart World but boy did they miss a great opportunity with Free Roam. At the very least, the roads should be filled with other online players. Everytime I see someone I’m tricked into thinking this is a multiplayer mode.

There’s a significant amount of people who have decided for one reason or another that Nintendo is evil and everyone who buys a Nintendo product is endorsing Nintendo’s evil.

Not to mention their outright hostility to tournaments, Romhacks, and emulators.
I would say Sony and Microsoft have plenty of skeletons in their own closets but none of the big three are without sin, including Nintendo.
EDIT: They also fired that woman because her partner was a sex worker.
They worked to, and succeeded at, outlawing renting games in Japan too! The list goes on!

How are there around 400 P Blocks in this game? I think I like that there is no minimap dotted with icons for convenient lawnmowing. It’s a good kind of boredom to just drive around lazily, notice the fine details, and try a challenge that could take me 10 seconds to 30 minutes to complete.

Yeah, if there’s anything that’s actually different about this console launch, it’s that this is a much more lucrative … industry? … than it was when even the last major console launch, the PS5, happened almost 5 years ago. Gamerrage fuckin’ sellls.
Also, the launch and even near-launch slate is, like, hilariously thin.

lol there are two indie-ish games on Switch I’ve been meaning to try, Skies Above and Botany Manor, and both of them are on the incompatability list and won’t boot on Switch 2 lol
