The OST switch, playable Max and FINDOURTRASH beats-out the hideousness of this reveal tenfold

i’ve seen people on twitter saying the 17th character is shiva, though i don’t know what their souurce for that is. if it’s true, then i’m totally fine with that

you can see it in the trailer

that’ll teach me to not watch things!

The five food groups.

Also Yuz’s recording breakdown was cool.

hmm. ok, that clarified some stuff. still don’t love the art style, but guess i’ll pick it up!

unrelated negativity: i hate the way John Linneman says Japanese names/words but his vids are good

yo this game is pretty good, team. it plays very well. it’s full of well done call backs (mostly overt, but some more subtle ones too). it might be a little…long? not a big deal given how it’s structured (lives renewed every level, but no checkpoints or continues or anything within a level). it has some cool new enemy characters, a little bit of story here and there. you get to beat up a lot of cops. visually it’s growing on me. you don’t get high contrast color palettes and it doesn’t feel as grimy as the old games feel at their best, but there are some real highlights. I don’t want to comment too much on the soundtrack yet. it’s energetic. it isn’t going to be iconic. it’s on PC game pass day one, which is nice.
