yeah this game is now in “don’t look at any more preview material before playing it” territory
at first i felt the opposite about the inclusion of the elemental shields and knuckles, but eventually decided that it is a Good Thing that they are basically making the true sonic 4 by basically picking up where S3&K left off wrt increasing layers of gimmicks and random cruft
if there’s not a 4th playable character and a few dozen more random items i’ll be disappointed
that music is hot.

Also it’s been 20 years Travelers Tales last did a Sonic game and did still a better Sonic than Sonic Team

a working animator posted this (the bad guy has a design similar to this games sub-bosses) then deleted it real quick so maybe sonic cd style anime cutscenes are in?
