Next is some classic 80s police melodrama, featuring crooked cops and endless ammo. Also, everyone is eight years old…
If a cop movie starring an eight year old is not your thing, how about a zombie movie that was written, produced, and directed by a twelve year old?
Last but least is Who Can Kill A Child, and all that needs to be said is best summed up via this review on Letterboxd: “i mean i get it but come on”

Hawk Jones rules! I showed that and Rollerblade 7 (also about a guy named Hawk) at my old apartment and some rando somehow found the FB event invite and showed up on the tail of seeing some art movie downtown.

So last month was not safe for children kids movies, so tonight it’s not family friendly family flicks. Tho am kicking things off with something relatively “mild” before ramping things up…

So anyone who tuned into my last broadcast, two weeks ago, will know that my showing of Visitor Q finally got my Twitch stream taken down (which is curious given how A. I have actually shown way crazier things, believe it or not, but also B. I had also promoted the broadcast over at Threads, which I’m never gonna do again).
Anyhow, what’s the perfect film to kick off a glorious return? Why, another one of his classics, cuz it’s a musical, which happens to be the theme for tonight…

Third up is, IMHO, the perfect follow-up to King of Friday Night two weeks ago, and also the long overdue return of Walter Hill to the stream (his previously showcased film was The Warriors)…

It’s September, which means it’s time once again for a month-long survey of movies that are about the Big Apple. And after doing this for three years, perhaps me showcasing a big budget Hollywood blockbuster perhaps going against the spirt of my established approach to programming…
Tho showing the movie above actually helps to set up the following movie, kinda/sorta, which is yet another complete and total cinematic obscurity, which is the type of stuff I usually showcase…
This time I’m also gonna replay some past hits, including one of my all time favorite documentaries that was the headliner for the first time I programmed documentaries for SICKOVISION…
But the aforementioned Hollywood blockbuster that’s full of action and special effects helps to balance the scale, cuz I’m also showing…

Tonight’s the last Monday of the month, so as usual, it’s another installment of OPEN VCR NIGHT, in which a VCR is set-up in the middle of Wonderville for patrons to insert a VHS from either the back of their closet or one found on the street, we don’t care.
