Huh. While my personal pick for teammates would be May Lee and Xiangfei (or Mui Mui) for a new Asian Triple Alliance, part of me really wants him to show up alongside two new characters, with him as the leader–it’d be a good evolution for the character. In any case, just having him back would be a thrill.

i think a good bit would be for him to have a new costume based on NESTS Kyo

Shingo is leading Kyo-1 and Kyo-2, training them and helping them adapt to normal life.

I fucking love Shingo; I would rather have him over Kyo or any of the K-clones. Bring back Shingo!! Give me my team leader!!

Yay, I finally guessed one of these (that wasn’t utterly predictable)!

Well, this certainly borks up my “KOF Games Ranked by Athena costume” list. This is real good–certainly top-tier, and a solid candidate for her best–and I’m glad the designers are finally out of the rut they’ve been in with her since XI. And again, I’m astounded at how much the team dynamic spices up what would have otherwise been a ho-hum announcement. Athena in a KOF game? Non-news. Athena in a team with Mai and Yuri? That’s big, for reasons that are both entirely cosmetic and not.

So Tung isn’t with his KOF XIV team. Gang-Il may not be with the Korea Team, given Luong’s transfer. A Psycho Soldier Team without Athena isn’t terribly likely, unless they re-center it around a new character like with Chang and Choi last game. Given this new women’s team, a canon Masters Team seems more likely than its ever been.

Team Friends.

I really like her design. She looked a bit more mature at first glance, which clashes with the cutesy posing in her level 3 super (which feels overdone). She’s been in school-style outfit for way too long.

I think there are a lot of ways to shuffle existing characters around teams, but I’d like to see them add new characters to existing teams rather than relegating new characters to new teams. That would be a nice shake up and would give the cast some new dynamics. I’m especially interested in where Sylvie is going to end up. She’s a real wild card. Maybe she can be in a different team every game.

Time to bring back the dragon spirit plotline.

Time to bring back the dragon spirit plotline.

Maybe not finish, but at least ‘start’…

isn’t the storyline starting in xiv about dragon power?

Nah, I don’t think they’ve implied anything about dragon spirit so far. They haven’t really established any storylines except that Verse was a phenomena created by the timeline resetting and Shun’ei’s powers feel very similar to Verse’s power. That’s about it I think.

Waiting for Psycho Soldier team with sad sack Kensou drowning his sorrows in nikuman at Athena not being around.

If nothing else this is one thing I miss about the 4 slot teams of the Striker era.

I just remember Momoko is a psycho soldier too. I’d rather they drop Chin and bring Momoko back. Chin’s been around too long, give the old man a break.

I mean…if we do get a Tung/Gang-Il/Chin Masters team, that leaves enough spots for a Kensou/Bao/Momoko Psycho Soldiers team. Do I think it will happen? Not especially–but it could!

I’ve never liked playing Chin, so they should drop Chin and put Saisyu in a Masters Team.

Just have all the Kyos. Kyo, Kyo-1, Kyo-2, EX Kyo, Shingo, Saisyu, and a new character who’s also based on Kyo.

Bring back Syo! (and the 2 people on earth who remember him!)
