It would be pretty weird if there weren’t, considering the whole reason the game exists is that SNK looked at Steam sales and said “Hmm, maybe we should make a new game then.”

How long until DOA essentially becomes the Queen’s Blade of fightmans?
Queen’s Gate was the series based on licensed characters. DOA already has lots of licensed costumes and a To Heart set was just announced too so it kind of sort of is already in a way?

Wheeee this is my kind of nonsense.
For those who like to think that crossovers are canon this must mean there are no important fighting game franchises unconnected by a shared universe anymore, right? We have all of Capcom, SNK, DOA, Tekken, Virtua Fighter, plus all the other games touched by guest characters…
So with the game getting released in little more than a month, shouldn’t the team stories be getting released right about now? The global site only has short individual profiles for certain characters, but those aren’t the same thing. Or are we just not getting those this time around? : (
ETA: Looking at the profiles for the new characters for the first time is interesting. There seems to be some real thought placed into some of these relationships, although time will tell how deep those will go.
You’d think. Last I heard, the writer behind every other KoF to date had yet to be contacted about the game and was presumed to be uninvolved. So maybe they’re doing things a little differently this time around?
They are terribly coy about the story in a general sense. Maybe they’re waiting until they finish detailing all of the characters?
Though, you’d think they’d release the team stories at the same time as all of the other team info. So… I dunno.

I’d like to see color edit come back, though. Especially if they’re on the fence about doing much costume DLC. The 4 stock colors for each character are decent, but a little tame for my tastes in many cases. I’d like to try and at least partially recreate some of the batshit insane palettes seen in games like XI and XIII, with Zombie Kim and Simpsons Hwa and the like. (But mostly I just wanna bring back ganguro Mai.)
Love how Geese appears to play from the Nightmare Geese trailer, too. He’s mostly the same old Fatal Fury 3 Geese/98UM EX Geese, but with a few cool new things like his rekka (?) elbow -> heel drop chain and his overhead(?) stomping backfist move. Really digging his super Reppuken (“Final Reppuken”?), too, that could come in handy to increase his long-range punish game. Geese is already death to jump at, so if you make people want to jump more by plowing through their fireballs with Final Reppuken, well…
I hope they bring DOUBLE SHIPPUKEN back as an EX move, though. I loved being able to blast at people with that move in 98UM.

Kula had a Candy costume in MI2 I think with appropriate voice modulation, really sweet. Albeit a proper Candy would play nothing like Kula, but still
