it sounds so good!
f1lthy told me i have to make the metroid beat tape so im making the metroid beat tape
some fomidable shit here!
@bunny I dig your garage vibe, that kind of rock hits me right in the heart. And that first track in your recent post sounds like techno Goblin with satisfying mutations throughout. has that strange and satisfying “hey, when did that change?” feel of worthy prog. finally, I am always down to hear a flute swimming in wooomy bass.
@spacetown your statement of intense mix is something to turn on when I need deep concentration without dopamine starvation.
here is some of my own shit:
This is a dorky fucking solo thing. inspired musically by La Villa Strangiato. it is named for a beholder pirate king. It has ten movements, each named for an eye power. listening to it just now, holy fuck are the drums mixed high.
and here is my IRL band just last week in my living room with a sultry blues rock original by our singer. This is a song we’ve played three or four times in the past couple months and it’s just rounding the corner to where it feels like it will be A Thing for us.
recorded a new live set at wonderville ![]()
more mixes!! first house set i’ve done in a LONG time…it was live at this venue called silo and for some reason i didn’t have any monitor speakers so i couldn’t really hear the highs (which i usually use to tell if i’m fully beatmatched) so that’s why the beatmatching is a little iffy in the house set. still fun though!
First Mega Drive piece I’ve done in a long time, and what a album for it to appear on ![]()
The circle’s owner is flogging physical copies at M3 right now, so this might…technically be my first time on a physical release? wowza.
so good
loving these ![]()
got to play the very very last night of my favorite venue being open at all (it was closed to the public in september but stayed open for private events, then i got to play a private-ish halloween party)
Released yet another shitty Vocal Synth cover a few days ago lol, thought I’d put it here.
started writing a new song today called ‘adios’
or here’s an mp3 you can listen to on SB
there’s a stevie wonder-ish lead/shred at the end (~2:22) that i was just messing around with but ended up liking lol
album I played bass on like a year ago is out today, it’s on all the streaming stuff too, yeehaw. the way I/we approach these songs live has changed a lot since then and there are def parts I’m not totally happy with, but it’s cool to have this as like a marker of how my playing has developed since I picked up bass again at the start of '24.
ooh and it has a finished version of the one you shared way back
This the first LP of my band BREA.
The drummer & I self-managed recording and production.
If you will, please give it a listen and let me know what you think!
Influences: B 52’s, DEVO, King Crimson, QOTSA, King Gizzard, Dead Weather, Thee Oh Sees, Siouxsie & The Banshees, and others (not that we could sound like any of them anyway)
putting this here to remind myself to do a p
roper sort of release sort of the thing
