been learning bespoke synth and making my “trademark” music: game samples chopped and downsampled/pitched into evil hell drone. feeling pleased with myself, like i matured as an artist
this freaked out my cat, which is a good sign
my DJ
A friend randomly asked me for this beat I did for a silly anti-trump rap I did in 2017 to use in her robot themed puppet show but I needed to remove the inflammatory lyrics. I had lost all of my Native Instrument samples which I had used to make it in a hard drive crash so I counted this as a motivation to restore those synths functionality and let my comp download samples all the livelong night.
When I could get back to it I needed to do some reassigning of sounds but I decided to mix it in a weird way. If you want to know how read and or watch this:
my band’s debut EP releases next month and i’ve just finished setting up the bandcamp page etc.
i’m super excited to share these songs with y’all, this is something i’ve been working on (and working toward) for a long time now
cover art, by local artist Albert Lebron:
here’s a link to the landing page for the EP, full release is next month (7/21 tentatively)
there is a preview track available to listen to called “Fading Arc”
there will also be a second EP released either later this year or early next year with another set of songs… it was originally meant to be a single LP but it ended up making more sense this way.
elle this is so beautiful
Bespoke had a new stable release 4 days ago. The nightlies have been cool but this is really nice as a landmark.
the new buffer shuffler is cool and i also just realized you could add reverb to a sound separately and then process it differently from the main instrument, so of course i used it to make a sort of monstrous rumbling heartbeat
hwwwwww this rulse
gives me some kings field iv vibes, but more buzz
this is out now aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
wow this soundtrack kicks ass, what a flattering comparison in retrospect
it’s so good!!
I had my 41st birthday party today and my dear 24 year old work friend stayed late. He was kind and wanted to listen to some of my stuff online. We stumbled onto my 2015 youtube only blackmetal album and it was his favorite. Here it is:
I feel cagey about sharing because it is weird
I was inspired mainly by Circle of Quroboros, Eleven Fingers. I’m glad that record permanently changed my hearing
edit: my favorite track is at 8:49
hello this is the thing i was yelling about mixing for the last couple of weeks
if anyone wants a free album code let me know and i’ll DM
Great work, as usual. On first listen (background music while working), the song that stood out to me most was Wound.
just up to Wound and logged in to say that one rips
incredible music
aw thanks everyone! i’m glad for this one to get out there because i want to move on to the next thing but it’s easy to forget to take time to process a work you’ve done when you’re ready to move on so your words are super appreciated
