4 1/2 months… it’s coming along maybe? i should get a teacher. been working on my understanding of triads, learning songs, technique, it feels like a million things i could learn and just trying to figure out what to focus on. i really want to up my practice hours as well, i’ve been trying to do an hour daily but could do more. trying to catch up to ppl who started early
Heartbreaking, beautiful stuff as always
Beautiful
So happy to hear this.
still playing my guitar, subscribed to tomo fujita’s guitar wisdom, def recommended if you’re past the beginner stage of guitar, learning a lot about triads, good exercises, good ways to map the fretboard etc
learning triads is making me more natural at soloing!
nothing fancy just some covers
that acid bass patch is so huge, i love it
i started playing this and asher gave me a look and then smiled so something correct is happening here
i bought a fethead (mic preamp) so hoping to record my voice soon
finally got some time to play around with bespoke synth
neat little program – reminds me a lot of dreams, weirdly. some of the tool don’t make much sense and you have to fiddle with it and use weird edge cases to do what you want sometimes. pretty fun, regardless!
it has some pretty nice tools that i’ll probably use even when making music outside of bespoke.
getting big “waiting room in limbo” vibes from this, or “that statue has some questions for you.”
EDIT: so nice i listened twice
this is gorgeous!! can i ask how you made it? audio or video i’m not fussed
thanks pal.
The video was mostly made using the self generated feedback (plugged its blank output back into the input) of a Videonics MXProDV unit, processed using its onboard color-correction (fucks it up good) and picture-in-picture effects. Filmed with my wife’s iPhone running on a CRT. Then, on the computer, small tweaks, overlaid a pattern graphic and slowed the footage down with Davinci Resolve’s Optical Flow re-timing.
The audio was made using Ableton Live. Wavetable-instrument patch, sequenced semi-randomly. Bass sound from the Earthbound soundfont, the Bazaar oboe. Quiet little plink noises from Dillon Bastan’s cool generative resonator+noise Max4Live Instrument Tree Tone. Guitar. Modulated delay, reverb, noise, etc etc.
