i’ve been working on ideas for a fleshy mech rpg for ages – i don’t actually have time or space to do dev work, but it’s fun to just ideate a bunch with no deadline.
anyway so i’ve been trying to work out what these fleshy mechs should look like. i knew i wanted players to look out of the mouth while piloting (a la this demo i made a while back), and i wanted the mechs to be fat. but apart from that the only other driving detail is that i want people to have sex in/with the mechs. idk why but it just felt important. so i want them to be kinda sexy too. or at least erotically charged, if not attractive in a conventional sense.

i’ve done heaps of drawings of these fleshy mechs over the last few years but i haven’t posted them anywhere so here’s a bunch of them in one big go:

i don’t even know if i like where i’ve ended up, but the latest design is compelling and fulfills my criteria pretty well imo. i’m sure i’ll change my mind and mess around more.

Y’know, the annoying thing about this is this isn’t even really the final! And I know I keep tweaking this but I keep finding imperfections with the mesh (INCLUDING THIS TIME) but I’m also figuring out texturing better and perfectly nailed whatever the hell that weird scratchy brass look all that shit in the late 90s had.

I’m feeling extremely powerful now.
