communist mmo
bullet hell/jrpg hybrid with a gambit system
A jrpg but the central characters are a committed couple in their 30s. Theyāre both alive at the end of the game.
Q-Gamesā now-defunct Tomorrow Children was an incredible, willfully-obtuse mashup of F2P whale-driven economics and communal problem-solving; I canāt recommend it enough as a way to blow $30m of Sonyās money
This game had so many interesting things to say and be said about
f-zero v.s. wipeout. cvs2 style groove selects for all the different ships. a really thoughtful visual novel story mode
Iād be down with a Wipeout racing team management sim, or maybe one with a career mode or something.
wrestling ttrpg where player characters cut promos on each other, and thereās a token system like the aiki tokens from tenra bansho zero that players can give to each other for good promos, keeping character and not breaking kayfabe
I dunno if it works exactly like that, but you might want to look at this:
It pretty much works like that with some slight modifications, yeah. I really want to play this game but good lord my current group is so weird about anything at all related to sports.
Jet Set/Jet Grind but itās a Splatoon-alike team arena shooter
search warrant:
search drug dealersā homes for incriminating evidence, but feel guilty about it because they have lives and families they care about and just want to provide for
I Spy Spooky Trap House: Pore over detailed messes on drug dealersā countertops and coffee tables to find tiny hidden objects like spark plugs and bits of playing cards. Not to screw anybody, just because using your eyes is fun.
Search warrant photos are universally depressing
will there be a guilt meter? do i have to level up my guilt tolerance to continue playing?
can i score guilt graze points by just barely not staring long enough at family photos and other personal keepsakes to humanise the people whose homes iām invading?
no its irl guilt, measured in real tears and anxiety
hell a cyberpunk thriller remake in VR and hell is being old but age doesnāt affect grace jones so she leads the gang to freedom
ok, this is an idea iāve had in my head for years now, and this just reminded me of it. basically an experience generator like lsd, but instead of being about dreams, itās about walking empty streets in the dead of night.
thereās either a large amount of pre-scripted events, or a whole bunch of elements that the game can mash together to generate events, iām not sure. but you walk the empty streets until something happens. you get eaten by a monster, you meet another lonely wanderer and have a coversation, you see an angel rise from a puddle, catch a train to another town, that sort of thing. maybe characters that talk to you will remember you?
i envision the graphics being 3d environments with sprites for anything that has to move around. 1-bit colour lo-res black and white textures on everything. no background music, just footsteps
also, the game would only allow you to play late at night, and only once each night.
like diaries of a spaceport janitor with a more specific aesthetic and not having to do chores!
trying to think about how you might convey videogame friction visually (mainly for debug purposes but also possibly like, in lieu of controller vibration)
the idea being that you could learn to use it synaesthesically as another way to judge how ānaturalā ingame movements are, instead of having to articulately describe your subjective tactile experience
maybe some kind of oscilloscope that shows small rapid waves for drag forces, and larger amplitude āarcsā representing a āleap of faithā commitment to an action. if your game has no acceleration and controls like a mouse cursor it should just show flat lines
you could do screen shake and other kinds of āliveā feedback but thatās still time dependent; i want to see all the info at once, in printable form
a controller that can drive thousands of little spikes into your hands depending on the circumstances
let us play the goose game prequel where we oust margaret thatcher from office
