Both remakes are fun enough, but horribly insufficient compared to their originals. Especially RE3.
playing re3 remake and re3 original back to back was so maddening i couldnt even leave a nasty steam review about it, but the original re3 is my favorite resident evil game, so they were fucked from the start basically. theres so many things that instantly bothered me like changing the intro from jill action leaping out of an exploding building directly into gameplay to her getting beat up by nemesis for like 10 minutes before your allowed to play, her character in general just fuckin sucks in the remake and they spend more time animating ryona scenes of her instead of finishing the other half of the game thats supposed to be there.
I also want a remake of RE:CV, but for unethical reasons, so I feel it’s inappropriate to actually ask for it.
Given how delightful all these recent REs are to play and that I stopped my most recent RE4 playthrough because it is really clumsy by today’s standards, I’m excited to buy this game in the summer for 25 dollars.
RE4 is the only one of these I ever beat so I am mildly curious but breakable knives sounds like a bad idea to me, who never did well with the whole “survival” part of survival horror.
YouTube suggested a video where the people were claiming Still Dawn (the staff roll theme from the international releases of RE1) sounds like the last chunk of Craptonne’s “Layla”; I’m not hearing Still Dawn, instead, I’m hearing pieces of the staff roll theme from Resident Evil 3 at about 5:40.
Anyway, Still Dawn is just a way more bad-ass rehash of the Mega Man X3 staff roll themes.
i really dont like “the cream of clapton”
It’s certainly no cream of wheat.
that sure is a lot of RE4
much like the original RE4
dang, that video looks really good. good enough to almost make me reconsider my “resident evil 4 does not need a remake” stance. though, i was not a big fan of the 2 and 3 remakes, so i’m still in a wait and see mood for this.
Honestly, more Luis (and evil Ashley) is an exceedingly good call (in addition to making him dirtbag hot). Makes me wonder if they’re considering implementing a co-op feature down the line.
The problem with remaking Resident Evil 4 is that now I’m thinking about PN03 and Godhand
leon kennedy has killed the cop inside his head
Doubt.
