I had assumed 9 would be about Rose and the 8 DLC would have been about the zombie Chris’s that Umbrella were making? But presumably it’s the other way around and 9 will be another Chris romp.

it’s weird being specifically a fan of the 7/8 sub-series for camp value and the first-person camera. all of the positive posting elsewhere about shadows of rose is like 10/10 i miss ethan winters ;_;
you also can’t talk about the best part without spoiling it by comparison to the doctor who episode ”blink”

Shadows of Rose is probably the closest thing we’re going to get to a trans allegory out of mainstream video games and is also very good.
I don’t know why I thought they wouldn’t get my time/money this time, I’ve adored everything they’ve put out since 7, here I go
Would’ve preferred a reimaging of Code Verionica over this because I think there’s untapped potential there whereas this new version of 4 is unnecessary and does absolutely nothing to move the needle for me. I’ll probably buy it…

I felt that way too, but everything we’ve learned about it seems to actually indicate that they are doing things quite differently from the original, which always justifies at least a curious look into these remakes.
I will not be playing the resident evil 4 remake because I think 2 and 3 almost killed me with how ass they were compared to the og PS1 games when i replayed all of them a few months ago. They will never remake code veronica, a bad game that actually deserves it…
