It looks good and feels like a seamless improvement over the original assets. If you can stand a relentless quantity of button mashing qtes, the game is still pretty satisfying.
Driving past the grocery store today went a white 4 x 4 type vehicle with “Raccoon City - London Branch” and “Umbrella Corp” or something like that painted with official-looking emblems on the driver’s door and other normally appropriate areas across the body, and some young white dude smiling as he drove.
I’ve been enjoying modern RE’s old school survival horror throwbacks, the Silent Hill style psychological horror, the pursuer enemies, the CoD like mindless gunning areas, the linear third person combat as well as the careful and measured survival horror, the literal recrations of some old areas and total reimaginings of others. Looking forward to RE4R which will definitely include none, all, or some of these elements.
