i was posting elsewhere about how PS2 games are all about wandering through concrete hallways and someone mentioned Nano Breaker, which i’d never heard of
looks like one of the most ps2 games in existence to me though
all ps2 games look like ps2 games because I play them correctly at native res with an hdr crt shader. it’s every game since then except for like rdr2 or alan wake 2 that look like an upscaled ps3 game which would be improved by worse graphics.
ps2 is already indulgent. n64 with a solid framerate, or dreamcast, is acceptable to the lord. anything after this is where god’s light no longer shines
I have two copies of Nanobeeaker and wrote a joke theme song to the tune of Reading Rainbow called Bleeding Rainbow because of the blood settings.
The enemies are called Orgamechs.
It’s not a good game, but it is PS2 as fuck.

the pal version of this got delayed a bunch of times, and my friend had pre-ordered it because he was a big gackt fan. every friday afternoon we’d go to the game shop to ask if it was in yet, and every time the guy working there would shout BUJINGAI! back in like a stereotypical dubbed martial arts movie voice
when @boojiboy7 was over and we were playing it he’d also scream BUJINGAI at the game every chance he got
boojingai
No longer a Booji"boy", Now a Booji"guy"
I totally forgot that and hell yeah
how many gog preservation games don’t include the original exe and just have a shortcut to scummvm
Is my PS4 worth keeping around for occasionally playing DVDs/Blu-ray? At this point I think it might be the only optical drive I own
That’s not really a killer feature anymore, you could replace it with a small USB Blu-Ray player for $50 if you need the closet space back (and a drive you can plug into a PC is also more useful for old data DVDs).
Should I play RE4 Remake on PS4 or original PS2 emulated?
Play the original
PS3/4/5 need to redownload the license every year to play blurays so ehhhh.
