Quick Questions XVI: Answer Time Lore

Which Souls/Elden game’s new game+ have you sunk the most time into? (Just finished my first, PS3 Demon’s Souls, and wondering which one I might end up dwelling in, eventually.)

ds2 scholar of the first sin, it’s the only one I played, I made a first timers thread for it SWING BY

your stuck in the swamp section of your dark souls video was so great BTW

None of them. Making do with poor equipment followed by the thrill of finding better loot is too fundamental to the Souls games for me. I start fresh saves with the Deprived class

i am also a chronic restarter, but to be pedantic about the question, dark souls 2 has the most changes between ng and ng+ and elden ring imo has the best late-endgame character development for true obsessives as well as the most active multiplayer right now

Bloodborne because I got really deep into the Chalice Dungeon hideousness and whatever the weird weapon classes and awful bosses you can start pulling out from google sheet passwords.

Once you get about +4 pluses in Micolash becomes the hardest boss in the game.

I was enjoying the thread but then I realized there was spoiler potential for me for when I get to that game so I hadda stop for now ^ _^

I only ever tried new game plus on 2, which was the first one I played, but I just kept getting invaded literally nonstop, one after the other, so that was it.

Hi guys, might be a bit off topic but maybe you can help me… A corrupted wordpress update broke my website and I cannot enter the dashboard anymore (also it’s not responsive anymore for the mobile, but this would be less troublesome). I think it might be faster to rebuild it from scratch, given the errors I am goven.
What alternative platform would be faster and more simple than Wordpress (if any)?
I don’t have many needs: writing articles enriched with some pictures, embed some YouTube videos… I don’t even have comments enabled.

Thanks if you can help!

how comfortable are you with programming-related stuff? i would personally use a static site generator like Hugo but i’m a programmer. they’re simpler than wordpress in that they don’t need to connect to a database but the experience of using them for the most basic cases may be a little more involved

i use publii to generate a static site then upload it to neocities. or nearly free speech. i made a guide on it but im not sure how accurate it is right exactly now.

Thanks both of you! I will look into both solutions and see what can be faster for me

yeah – it is somewhat unintuitive to people who had barely enough expertise to host a CMS with a whole backend 20 years ago (and to be clear this is a lot of people) but there hasn’t really been a successor to WP in that category because the category is itself kinda fraught for exactly the reason you’re dealing with now.

static site generators are a much better modern option and there are more and less technical ones but they will require you to do a little more and different technical stuff then you’re used to

Shadow of the Colossus is extrememly PS2 because it runs right into the limits at full speed, so you got HDR lighting, but fur and grass textures both look like carpeting. Extremely clean UI with on screen at the same time as obviously stretched textures. Separate simle models for determining the shadows a thing can cast. Some weirdness when an object is supposed to cast shadows on itself.

good question this… zone of the enders maybe? others that popped up into my head, breath of fire dragon quarter, haunting ground, glass rose, gits sac… almost said rule of rose but that could pass for a ps3 game if you squint a bit (and you have to because it’s almost always in the dark)

folks the obvious answer is Raw Danger

no game has looked more PS2 than Raw Danger
