alt-tab usually minimises the game when itā€™s switched away from, tho some games disable it if itā€™s a key combination youā€™re likely to press

this did end up being my go-to. a lot of applications will quietly just kinda break and if u alt+tab the os is happily chugging away completely unbothered. alt-f4 doesnā€™t seem to kill full-screen apps (at least not once theyā€™ve ground to a halt) but it does work the rest of the time.

Whatā€™s a good resource for free videogame textures? textures.com used to be free but now you have to pay money to access textures. they were really good for videogame textures but Iā€™m wondering if thereā€™s a free site that exists. or maybe i just pony up $13 a monthā€¦

I donā€™t know how good the textures you can find here generally are, as Iā€™ve never really fucked with 3D, but I go to OpenGameArt.org for most of my free-game-asset (mostly music and sound effects) needs, but they do have a whole textures section

Itā€™s really hard! Like many Cave games, I plateau around Stage 3. The scoring system feels like it requires a level of accuracy and planning that I simply do not possess. The other day, I shut my eyes in the car and saw dozens of golden baubles fall in front of me.
