this may just not be an option obviously, but i struggled to find solutions to this that were all slightly annoying for various reasons and it was such a relief when i just gave in and got the long hdmi
bojangles is better than caneās. fuckin kfc is better than caneās. fried chicken from any gas station is better than caneās. caneās is unforgivably bland. their fries are even worse. their coleslaw is disgusting even by coleslaw standards. literally the only good thing on the menu is the toast and the sauce, and the sauce isnāt even that good.
caneās originated in baton rouge and imo that says all you need to know. in the lamest, whitest city in the state, it only succeeded by catering to chuds and bottom-feeding stoners at LSU.
my exact experience as well.
yeah Iām even a pretty big advocate of in home streaming on smaller devices and my projector is still on the long HDMI 90% of the time
Anyone on here got any particularly strong opinions on Chromehounds?
i strongly believe that id like to play it!!!
As strong and compelling a vision for online multiplayer as Demonās Soulsā spirits, based entirely on acquiring and denying information.
Thereās only one map mode, a base-assault. Each of two teams starts in one of 3 random bases. To win, figure out the valid enemy base and destroy it.
Information is hard to come by. Players can only voice chat within a contiguous link of radio bubbles. Get too far from the squad and nobody knows if that Scout is alive or dead. See those explosions over the horizon? Wonder if Jimās going to make it out.
Capturing radio towers can extend radio bubbles, and reveal characters and objects on the minimap. Only the Commander, with the build-dominating radar tower, gets to read the map, though, so they have to be in tight communication, directing the fighters to radar pings theyāre spotting and making sure nobody gets cut off.
Play is about balancing communication with daring raids and reading the signals. Without voice chat, players have to read other signs of battle - treadmarks going through the snow (does anyone on our squad have treads? Thatās gotta be an enemy Scout, right?), destroyed buildings. Itās critical to read enemy attacks as feints or true attacks, and make a good guess as to whether theyāre running for a base or shooting in the dark.
The closest comparisons are classic Battlefield 2 or even Starsiege: Tribes. Of course, getting two teams of six together, each willing and able to play in the soft class roles, isnāt easy. And it canāt really happen again. As much as games try, players arenāt willing to sit through game-restricted voice chat and will just solve it themselves. The gameās dead.
Is there a PS5 thread? I impulse bought one (for local coop Diablo 4), and now I need to know how to actually make use of this machine. Itās kinda nice to have a non-laggy PS4, but, like, yeah. I have both GoW games that Iāve resisted hard, but I donāt know what else will make me feel things.
great game that was ruined by xbox 360 party chat, proximity chat is integral to like the whole fucking game
yup. you couldnt even bring it back today bc people would just get on discord. i guess you could fix it w forced solo queues like mercenary in modern warfare, but that also kinda undermines the sense of teamwork and camaraderie that made chromehounds so fun
yeah the way you could do it now is if everyone had honor and agreed to play the game as intended
whatās the difference between āMyst Online: Uru Liveā and āUru - Complete Chroniclesā
Looks like the former is open-source and free (Myst Online: Uru Live - Home) and the latter is a typical package (with a couple DLCs) you can still pay Cyan for if you want to for some reason. It appears to me that MO:UL has not only all the official content but also live servers full of fan-created ages so I have no idea why anyone wouldnāt choose that one, unless itās significantly buggy in some way.
while promoting the latest age cyan linked to myst online uru live if that helps
Yeah I shouldāve specified that when I said MO:UL is open source that includes the fact that it is officially supported by Cyan.
Iām sure itās some kind of subtitle or chat setting, I dunno, donāt you spend all your time messing with emulators, Iām sure you can figure it out
not really a whole lot of options to mess with
I try to tell people this, but the only Guthrieās in Cleveland is in a ābadā (yay coded racism) neighborhood, while Caneās is all about that suburb life, so you can bet how that goes.
Guthrieās is so good.
Cook out rules, some of the best regional fast food on variety alone. Their dedication to maximizing their shake options by just dumping more of the menu into shakes is inspiring.
Zaxbys on the other hand is utter dogshit, just the worst possible soggy, even slimy fries with a piece of barely toasted wonder bread and the blandest driest chicken imaginable.
Could not believe they were still in business in a place where you can literally go to bojangles
