pretty good as far as southeastern chains outside the southeast go

Raising Cane’s texas toast is real good. Their chicken is kind of flavorless and carried by the sauce, but I still enjoyed the texture of the chicken even if the skin just kind of flakes off. Too expensive though.
Where does it rank next to Bojangles?
i assume no one here has actually had guthrie’s because it is extremely good and raising cane’s is just literally the same thing by a somewhat-worse larger corporation.
guthrie’s used to just have one item: the box, but you could order it special and have the chicken placed in between the texas toast. was still the same thing tho
i think they have more stuff now? haven’t been in a bit
zaxby’s also ripped off guthrie’s but they have varied their menu way more, so i give them somewhat of a pass
seriously tho, guthrie’s is probably the best fast food fried chicken i’ve ever had
sorry i just have to get the word out
this is like if Arby’s was largely unknown and then there was another brand that called themselves Garby’s that had the same shit but was somehow slightly worse and they got famous and started franchising the nation
can’t judge a chip(fry) by its shape in this country tbh
yeah the fries are not really the appeal, it’s all about the chicken + sauce + toast.
just know that raising cane’s does their fries literally the exact same way so you won’t get any improvement over guthrie’s there
best fries in american fast food are probably Cook Out Cajun Fries
only came around to this recently - hatechicken waffle fries have always been my favorite, followed by Arby’s and Checker’s/Rally’s. need some seasoning on them shits
“pick 2 of 3”
most folks in the town i grew up in stand by these fries as their favorite:
i’d say they’re my favorite, too. the only fries i’d ever eat without ketchup or a sauce
although the knishes are also pretty bangin if you need more intense potato time
I don’t know anything about all the SE chicken chains but Bojangles whips
The only competition for Bojangles is Tudor’s Biscuit World, where the biscuits are six inches across and the cook is likely a mothman.
I did only play it for one evening. It is just Actraiser with a bunch more stuff on it, which means it’s longer, which means I am closer to death the more I play it.
Anyone ever managed to have a good time with the Steam Link app in Google TV/Chromecast 4 or whatever it’s called? I have one and while it works there’s way too much input lag to be usable but I don’t have the ethernet adapter for it which would probably make some difference at least.
If not, are there any good alternatives outside of trying to buy a used Steam Link device somewhere or a ridiculously long hdmi cable? Computer and TV are in the same room but kind of at the opposites ends of it so right now I just move the computer closer when I need to but it’s a bit fiddly.
i really love learning about places like this
