Quick Questions XIII: Answers Return

We’ve had SGDQ threads in years past, so you could make another of those! We don’t really have a general stream watching thread, although I suppose that could work too.

It’s nice when people highlight what runs are good, because some runners can be rather tedious!

yeah but it’s not like physical media is really as viable an alternative as people like to pretend given bit rot and patching

uh, this isn’t game related, but does anyone have good recomendations for text-to-speech/dictation software for Mac? i have a lot of ideas that i’d rather spit out garbage about in my living room rather than attempting to coherently write them out first.

I dunno about Mac, but your smartphone might have something.

Is a place like Ikebukuro more like, say a Burrough a la Brooklyn, or a non-official neighborhood like Williamsburg?

It’s built in to macOS! It also exists on the phone but can only handle about a minute of dictation at a time.

Woof bigger question that I can’t give you the answer in New York terms because I don’t understand them. Places Like Ikebukuro, Shinjuku, Ueno are major stations and hubs. They have all complicated address and divisions that do not involve the mass public transit system.

what are the hub worlds of the greater cities

i think it’s closer to williamsburg

Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan, etc. are boroughs. within those boroughs are neighborhoods.

i never spent time in Ikebukuro, but if it’s a place like Koenji or Ueno, i’d call those neigborhoods.
