Thanks to you all everyone who mentioned any recs. I almost pulled the trigger on the Rock Candy one. I have this terrible aversion to see-through plastic electronics and ended up going with a similarly highly rated (though not rated by as many users) and likewise cheap model by YUDEG. Here’s hoping it’s of comparable quality.

you need firmware 5.05 apparently, and a pc to run the exploit cause you got to tell your ps4 to use your pc’s ip address for a dns server
If someone wanted to buy a DS flash cart to be played in a DS lite in 2018 what model would be optimal? 3DS support is optional but a plus.
If nobody knows specific models then what kind of differences can one expect between them? Can in-game performance vary? Battery life? Big differences in compatibility?

It’s still pretty reliable, though it has been temperamental after being removed from the card slot lately and takes quite a few re-insertions for it to be picked up by the DS. Haven’t had any experience with their newer models, but haven’t heard anything too bad.
Huh, way cheaper then I was expecting them to be and still sold by EU retailers. Was worried production had ceased entirely for them and they were rising fast in value.

Virtual on OT and guardian heroes are the definitive versions and randos still play online in 2018. Virtual on force is a bad game but beautifully presented.
I like import tuner challenge, ninja gaiden 2, blue dragon, lost odyssey, culdcept saga & space giraffe but maybe not essential.
Also gears 1 is great fool. But also on PC I think

I still use my dualshock 3’s with the SCP toolkit driver, USB cable extenders, and trigger attachments for R2 and L2.
I always liked the Dualshock 2 and 3 so, yeah.

The XBONE controller acts as a wired controller with the usb cable. You can take the batteries out and disconnect it from blue tooth. The old 360 usb plugs only acted as charge cables and still needed a wireless dongle to use the not hardwired controllers.

I just want a wired controller w/o a flimsy micro USB jack. Even the PS3 controller’s tiny but less so mini jack is preferable to the PS4/One micro jack ugh
buy a Switch Pro Controller (supported in the Steam beta) so then you can have a flimsy USB jack that you don’t have to figure out what way it goes in
(it’s actually really sturdy)
