yesterday I learned that the GOOCH plays the game the same way and for the same reasons I do

if I had my way all ooc chat would have a special place to go so I’d hear even LESS about people’s lives. as a gemstone player people shouting non eorzean stuff in shout chat is cringe, ive weakened over my years of playing purely ffxiv, but now that im back in gemstone imma try to be in universe pook again, in say and shout and yell.
also yeah my best friend in ffxiv just BARELY startrd telling me about her life, we just talk shop most of the time
love to play with my friends in the evening and then spend all the wee hours of the night cheevo hunting on my own
I love not knowing things in ffxiv. obviously I’m not the one who made final fantasy but as a person with all my characters capped I remain proud at my inability to learn what any skill names are called

It took two years of directing a TV series about MMOs to get me to finally play an MMORPG, but I am doing it! This game has really sucked me in. I’m currently slogging through the ARR postgame, but even this anime filler season I’m trapped in is giving me a decent time.
I’ve joined the Butts Free Company and that’s pretty cool. I find myself having NO IDEA who anyone is, since nobody uses their SB names, and not everyone on there is from SB anyway. But it’s still a chill time with chill people! Though I won’t been able to do much in the way of FC events until I’m further along in the story.
I just can’t wait to get to Heavensward, I keep hearing that’s where the game really hits its stride. I’m almost there!
