Trying to put my WoW affairs in order; I’d cancelled my sub last fall when the abuse and labor issues where flaring up, but I’m going to have to uninstall to make room for FFXIV on my laptop and I don’t want to have any regrets about lost items or unfinished business if I don’t get around to reinstalling before my playtime runs out in a few months.
Still, I’m not good at impulse control once I’ve figured out how I want to splurge, so I’m trying to prep myself for XIV as well. To that end, are there still people who need refer-a-friend bonuses I should be coordinating with, or have the current server woes rendered that an irrelevant consideration for the next few weeks?

Don’t know why I thought it would be trivial to locate this for sale in a local store, but I’ve confirmed unavailability through Best Buy, GameStop, Walmart, and Target. I decided not to bother with the local flea market/pawn shop used game scene since I’m pretty committed to getting this on PC rather than console. That said, I actually had a dream last night about this game and I haven’t even played it yet, so I’ll be watching closely for news about resumption of sales.

I have upgraded to a pro in the last six months so I’m going off of end game shadowbringers content
the newer areas had shitty framerates (which I don’t notice until someone else points it out so I shouldn’t even report on that) , but I was still able to do end game content with 24-48 people parties (bozja content)
it made my ps4 louder than anything I’ve ever played on it though
i play on a base ps4, everything is playable and the frame rate is rock solid even if it’s not high? definitely turn off nonessential effects tho, later bosses are unintelligible with all that stuff flying around
fwiw installing an ssd felt like it made a huge difference on performance even if it didn’t affect frame rate. city load times can be brutal on the stock hard drive, especially when the engine is trying to read like a hundred catgirls worth of outfit data from disk in the big hubs
