the first Zeldo is pretty good
the legend of zeldo should really be a romhack that change’s zelda’s gender. maybe link and ganon too i guess?
Lynn & Finola/Fionnuala imo
very interesting thread on a 2d mmo tool
tibia was so huge at my school that i was surprised when i eventually saw ultima games with the same 2d perspective
new team formed from ex-nazca staff, and an announcement of their first game
Humanity is getting solid reviews so far
it should be available on PS+ Extra tomorrow, can’t wait. i’ve avoided playing the demo as i was already Into It from what i saw, i’m pleased to see it getting some love
that game always seemed like a gas, glad they’re giving it another run
Ten years ago I got a beefy PC for free cuz a friend was so disappointed with Hawken’s monetization scheme that he quit games forever so that game will always have a place in my heart, thanks Hawken.
I’m not sure what the point of Hawken is if it’s not promoting how you can build your buildings out of guns.
This is a pleasant surprise because I was fairly lukewarm on the demo. It felt like a serviceable copy of classic Lemings/Echochrome style puzzle games without any new ideas, and the stages were easy to solve by just looking at them before ever running any live simulations of interactions (probably easier, because you don’t half to restart and wait for the humans to slowly walk to action markers over and over). It’s on PS+ so it’s worth checking out at least. I’m sure the user created levels will be weirder than the main stages.
I’m really interested to hear how people feel about the back half of Humanity
i like butts, so i’m expecting good things
Back when the demo was released, the trailer really lost me when it introduced black and red enemy humans with guns
Gave the vibe that it really was an earnest game about directing your own good idiot mindless sheep humans against the evil idiot mindless sheep humans with somehow no hint of this being a satire (please project your own beliefs into the good humans)
Is this right?
well I love allegory and Quintet more than is healthy, but we could say, this game is very Japanese, …
I can’t wait to go into it once we have field reports, and I don’t hate the game, but there’s a tragedy in how beautiful it often is
Huh, funnily enough as I was playing through Titanfall 2 today I kept thinking about how much the mech piloting sections felt like watered down Hawken gameplay.
Hope it has less poor financial decision making this go around.
[EDIT]
Interesting to see them pointing it towards a primarily PvE experience. Wonder just how much it’ll end up like the original.
Titanfall 2 didn’t need to rip off Hawken
mostly because the first game came out before Hawken
Hawken: December 12, 2012, Windows PC
Titanfall: March 11, 2014 Windows PC, Xbox 360
???
well Mobygames just lied to me then, pointing to a much later date for early access
even there, it has a date a month earlier but that’s finished game versus early access
still don’t know if I would compare the two
