also have not played, but i feel like playing it without having the whip peripheral probably makes it less interesting (which, according to Rudie, is an already low bar)

Iāve got very favorable memories with DD and this interests me greatly. But they seem to have changed the structure significantly. I think you no longer send expeditions into multiple dungeons from a base, ala XCOM and terror sites, but are guiding your dudes on a continuous expedition north into the mountains on a carriage headed to some fortress of insanity in a semi-linear fashion like Hades. Not sure if I would like that as much. But I also feel unmotivated to play more DD1 at this point.

mannnn i have a weird relationship w DD. i think itās fuckin sick but i kinda wish its combat were in a differently structured game (but maybe then it would suck???) so that i wouldnāt feel so viciously punished for experimenting.
also iām so torn abt the 60fps animations. idk if i saw enough in the trailer to know if theyāre done well, but iām very suspicious. i like that thereās more 3d tho thatās fun.

that brandon sheffield/necrosoft game Demonschool has a soundtrack by Lena Raine (Celeste), and it sounds real good in the clips iāve seen so far
the game doesnāt really look like my thing, but iām excited to listen to the soundtrack at least
