The best new console is the Deck and that’s just Lord Gaben breaking the legs off a laptop and grafting some buttons on it
The bar is incredibly low

Hopefully the PS6 will come out soon
what if instead of having to keep cool, consoles had to keep warm?
Yeah, just ask Konami how bubble memory went
Dicey dungeons is available on mobile + there’s a new free DLC on every platform
I haven’t seen any new enemies unfortunately but all the items are changed and there’s new music. It also goes for a Love island / Bachelorette vibe I think
nice, wasn’t sure why I was waiting on this one but there I go
Thinking about this some more, I think the most fitting course of action for a Switch Heavy is for it to be just like the Switch, but the size of a modern TV — it would still have the cartridge slot, joycon rails, headphone jack, kickstand, dock, etc., but also come with an additional wall-mounting option. You could even put the OG Switch in it’s dock and use the Heavy Edition as a display.
Hire me Nintendo. My rates are very competitive.
they could release special Switch Heavy edition cartridges that are the size of VHS tapes
Same
Yes
Agreed
I think once I get through the small (and extremely expensive) library of desired exclusive(s), I will be extremely envious of the inherent flexibility of XSeX
I’m torn between starting an awful steam review campaign to get the People Mover to not look like the El, and being hyped that Prof. Buckaroo Banzai got a paycheck.
Become the iconic part man
didn’t recognize the developer, looked at what they’d made, saw Styx, and right on cue, thought “ohhh, Isabelle Huppert’s company”
It’s Teyon, they’ve done Terminator: Resistance.
Terminator: Resistance is a Good AA game. One of the few AA games to come out this last console cycle, actually, but there you go. They managed to stay true to the franchise there so I have good feelings about Robocop.
It’s funny that I’m talking up AA like it’s something to look forward to when a decade ago these games would have came and went to the tune of a bunch of 5/6 out of 10 reviews from everywhere but now it’s so rare it’s like hey look another one of those remember when games could just be competently made and it was fine.
this would be cool if it were a lightgun game
Some thoughts on the trailer itself.
Basically if Terminator: Resistance was Baby’s First Unreal Engine Game then this looks like Baby’s Second Unreal Engine Game.
“Production quality” as far as animation/art goes it’s on par with Terminator but they are attempting more with stuff like the guy getting thrown through the window. Does not read at all like a real person with weight etc. going through glass but they Got It Done and it’s all there if you want them to do a second pass to make it more convincing (or even something creative (wild ideas I know) like make it look like practical effects from the movies instead of real stuff) you’ll need to bump the budget up to AAA lol.
Peter Weller likeness is on point. Props to that it’s probably why they can only afford one shot at all the core elements like animation etc.
Don’t know if they’re bringing back an upgrade system in this one but they did it in the last one (very basic obv. but checked all the boxes for a basic system) so it’s probably a sure bet they’ll at least have something similar to what they’ve already done (just copy/paste lol) but maybe something more than just for the guns maybe you’ll get to upgrade Robocop himself. Fingers crossed.
I’ll be surprised if they ask for more than $30-40 out the gate. Will be $20 six months after and a total steal at that price. Or a deep sale in a year.
I still need to finish Terminator. It’s not long I just only ever played it in bits and pieces and I’m probably over 3/4 of the way through. 20 years ago it would have been a great game to rent for the weekend and then never play again. I think it has a new game plus too.
A big part of the appeal for me outside of the license is getting to see this studio make another attempt and it’s pretty neat to see how they’re growing and not growing. Their next game after this (or even this game) needs a basic series of escalating new game plus modes with fully powered up infinite ammo weapons like the Resident Evil games do. Start Robocop with the jet pack and gun arm from Robocop 3. Have a playable Robocop arcade game inside the game itself.
Can’t believe he didn’t shoot a single dick in that trailer
mod to make dick destructable
This is the rare day I looked at the steam new release list and wished I had a specific topic where I could point out random new games that came out. I think Felix said some time back that he rather them take place in their own smaller topic rather than one of the giant megatopics… but I’m sure he’ll never see this so!
Random New Steam Game Post
Not specifically for today but a random company seemingly picked up the rights to a bunch of ZX Spectrum games and have been releasing a new one every other week or so, it is possible some of you would care about this so feel free to have a peak at their offerings:
Now friends have you ever wondered about playing…
…that was…
A game that…
…and that looks like this?
Plus I really liked how this looked in motion (TTV4)
Hope you all found at least one thing that tickled your fancy and remember, don’t tell Felix!
