the idea of the switch pro is not a new system, it’s a ps4 pro type update that allows you to run games above 20 fps in the year of our lord 2022. but presumably nvidia doesn’t have any chips to shove in the thing, so here we are

well sure, but it’s not like it costs nintendo anything to do it, and they end up getting all their core fans to buy the same hardware two or three times like they’ve done with every other handheld they’ve ever made

If a Switch Pro happens I’ll probably trade in my Lite for it, I have pretty serious buyer’s remorse on this thing tbh.

what would be really great is if there were a successor to the Switch that would come out and then even two years later, if you wanted one, you’d have to hope you catch an announcement on some deals site for when some other site gets a restock and then that you’re able to snag one of the 100 units walmart dot com has before they sell out or the website crashes.

Yeah I feel like there definitely has to be an audience for a Switch without the switching. Just John Q Gamer who wants to play Mario Bros and Zelda and doesn’t want to live the rooftop party lifestyle in all those Switch announcement trailers from 5 years ago

my launch Switch has been running fairly well since i got it (and those Hori Split Pro pads have been used in lieu of drifting joycons) but the back gets hotter than hell so i’ve been waiting for a Switch Pro to replace it but i fear the second i buy an OLED model, that’s when they announce

i wish i knew someone with one of those Steam Decks so i can hold it to see how the buttons line up
