are there any indie/RPG Maker/whatever games themed around being a comedian who has to tell jokes and perform physical comedy in battles? Seems fertile ground, especially if you don’t bother to actually write out the jokes.

all I know about conversation battles in RPGs (or games at all) is a vague notion of the combat system in Love Quest (SFC) and a bewildered viewing of the Papyrus date scene in Undertale via 3:00 AM public-access television

I’m sure this isn’t quite what you’re looking for, but Mr Bones has a pretty fun stand-up comedy level. One of the few fun stages in the game HEY OOOHHH
