Hoping one of the 2002-ish prototype concepts get worked into REM4KE somehow, always wanted to play the fog/ghost-y dollhouse fixed camera version. Though I guess re8 had its own take on that sortaā¦

it actually looks to me like they really took notice of MK11, making the first time in videogaming history when street fighter will have been deservedly influenced by mortal kombat

are you talking about the drive gauge being used for universal mechanics, or just like general game flow? I know about MK11ās defense/offense meters but Iāve only played that game for half an hour
If weāre looking for a primary western influence at work here Iād say GTA.
The flow seems to be built around the universal parry mechanic.
Oh come to think of it Iām not that big on button-based parry mechanics. Hm. Well I suppose I can probably just ignore major parts of the fighting engine, I do that in other fighting games anyway. Whatās nice is I definitely wonāt have to think about playing online since that costs money on PS.
Edit: Apparently the world traversal thing WAS done in an MK: Mortal Kombat Deceptionās āKonquestā mode. = o Street Fighter 6's World Tour mode pushes the boundaries of what a fighting game is, according to Capcom

i hope 16 plays more like 7R than 15 although the gameplay footage today definitely leans more into the 15/kingdom hearts floatiness than iād like. but iāll still hold out hope on the ff14 team doing things
also i feel like everyone was positive 7R was going to be terrible and i loved it so who knows

the combat was so good in VIIR that Iām hopeful that this will be good as well. I like the general vibe and atmosphere of it. I donāt really see whatās so objectionable about this over XV or VIIR.
