that’s the thing, both of those had gotten to this point where even though the production and the pacing were kind of all over the place, they actually nailed the feel and the aesthetics to the point where they couldn’t let themselves down the way they would have a decade ago, so I think they have a lot of room to manoeuvre
Lot more interested in ff16 knowing the main director did the best game in the series (V)
The good will for that faded after a few hours for most of us.
A combat lead,
even if they have very strong opinions,
does not have full control over the combat
Damn, FFV really in everyones minds now
I love that it also apparently has active parties of 6 characters at once
huge fan of jRPGs actually using their ensembles more and more
granted it still looks like unplayable mush but still
The first thing I thought of seeing the FF16 trailer which cut from a one to one fight to a shot of two armies fighting and then a more average RPG fight was how good Suikoden 2 was at varying up battle rhythm as you went through the game.
woah, they’re using the “shoot gun button” to hold hands now??! I know it’s early, but I’m just gonna say it, this thing is going to take home the big one this oscar season.
i dunno. maybe the gamers aren’t ready for premarital heterosexual interdigitation
oh its not just a button, theyre working with an variable resistance adaptive trigger
the immersion potential is unthinkable
itll be like instead of holding a controller in your hand, youre holding… a hand
I played Persona 5 in 2019, then I made a QTE in which you hold someone’s hand juuust right
I hope the physics engine is off enough that when the two character models’ hands intersect it causes them to vibrate uncontrollably like a nervous adolescent in real life
looks like the kickstarter was still getting updates until last year, but has gone dark for awhile. One of the backers mentioned “I backed this because my 10 year old daughter really liked dogs at the time. She’s 17 now and probably isn’t interested in this anymore.”
Yeah I backed it and they had a lot of life changes and rehauls but every time this idea comes up I think about how it existed in some form during Kickstarter Days.
